Two young children injured in Hopkins Co. assault released from hospital

Local News

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – The two young children injured last week in an assault have been released from the hospital.

That’s according to a family member.

Last Friday, Caleb Cobb was charged with assault and tampering with physical evidence after law enforcement received a call of child abuse at the Quail Run Apartments in Earlington.

Authorities say a one-year-old had a broken jaw and severe bleeding to the brain. And a two-year-old also had bleeding to the brain.

Cobb’s bond has been set to $500,000. He is scheduled to be in court later this week.
