KENTUCKY (WEHT) – The University of Kentucky will not expand alcohol sales at sporting events despite being able to under a new conference rule.
The Southeastern Conference allows schools to decide whether to sell adult beverages in general seating areas.
The Associated Press says Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart said the school doesn’t want to change the environment — wanting it to remain family friendly.
UK already sells alcohol in premium luxury suites.
