Union Co. awarded $501,300 for infrastructure improvements

UNION COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Union County has been awarded $501,300 for infrastructure improvements along several county roads.

The money will help with repairs for resurfacing along sections of Dixon Road, Heavrin Road, Bunger Road, and Shilo Road.

It will also include a bridge replacement on Bunger Road.

This investment is part of Gov. Matt Bevin’s commitment to prioritize transportation infrastructure projects and increase economic opportunity across the Commonwealth.

The funding will help the county move forward with paving and bridge repairs efforts.

The county roads are included below:
• Dixon Road (County Road 1106)  a distance of 0.45 miles
• Heavrin Road (County Road 1232)  a distance of 0.97 miles
• Bunger Road (County Road 1258)  a distance of 0.76 miles
• Shilo Road (County Road1256)  a distance of 1.24 miles
