A Union County doctor and two others charged on Wednesday. The Union County Sheriff’s Office and the Morganfield Police Department raided two homes, one belonging to Morganfield Dr. William Bebout.
Police say the investigation started at the home of his estranged wife, Heather Bebout, where they say they found meth and marijuana.
Heather bebout and another man in the home, Daymond Duncan, face charges of possession, drug trafficking, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Afterwards, authorities were lead to the home of Dr. Bebout on Main St. in Morganfield. Bebout sees patients at Deaconess Clinic in Morganfield. He is charged with cultivating and possession of marijuana.
Police say less than five plants were found, but police say bebout also faces a firearms enhancement after dozens of firearms were seized during the investigation.
Police say more charges against more people are pending. This is still an active investigation. Eyewitness News will continue to watch for developments.
Deaconess Health System issued the following statement:
“Patient care is our number one priority, and we want to assure the patients at Deaconess Clinic Morganfield that the office will be open tomorrow. As Dr. Bebout’s situation is a legal and personnel matter, we can have no further comment.”
