HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – United Way of Henderson County will launch its 2-1-1 service next month.

It will launch at Henderson Community College in Sullivan Technology Center Room 310 at 11 a.m.

2-1-1 is a service that’s operated, in part, by local United Ways. It’s a service people can get free and confidential services like crisis and emergency, disaster assistance, food, healthcare and insurance assistance, employment services, and childcare and family services, among others.

All of these services are listed on the 2-1-1 website.

This service allows callers to talk to real people who connect or direct them to resources they need. 2-1-1 also collects data that will reflect the needs of your area.

You can call, text, chat or email 2-1-1. More information can be found here.
