NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT)-The winner of the “10,000 change lives here donor incentive” was drawn Tuesday. Heritage Federal Credit Union partnered with United Way of south-western Indiana for the contest.
Three finalists got the opportunity to pick a suitcase and open it to reveal the winner.
Eyewitness News spoke with the winner, Carol Anderson to ask about her plans for the prize.
Anderson said, “My daughter told me to pay off her student loans, work around the house. I don’t know, give some back to the community. I’m just still in shock right now. I’m not really sure.”
We’re told the contest raised over 3.8 million dollars.
There were over 3,500 entries this year.
