University of Evansville begins demolition of old residence hall

EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – Demolition has started to make way for the University of Evansville’s new residence hall.

Crews were tearing down Morton Hall today. The new residence hall will replace Morton and Brentano Halls.

University officials expect the new building to open in August of next year. It will house close to 300 units with updated living spaces to better serve students.
