Saturday was move in day at the University of Evansville.
With all the excitement that comes with incoming freshmen starting their college careers, there’s also the stress of moving into a cramped dorm room.
Luckily for students, University President Tom Kazee and his wife were on hand to serve refreshments on a traveling lemonade stand.
It’s a tradition they started six years ago.
Kazee says it’s a great opportunity to meet and greet incoming students.
This includes one student who says she’s excited for the school year, but with that excitement, also comes some nerves.
Student Alexis Seay said “my biggest thing is I’m really close to my family, super close. I see my sister every day, I help her with her homework. I’m kind of stressed about how to break this off in a healthy way, you know, still have contact with her, but not calling my family every five minutes.”
Kazee says it’s also a good opportunity to meet with international students, who make up almost 1/5 of the student body.
