Update: Highway 41 closed near Toyota due to accident

The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office is rerouting traffic on Highway 41 at County Road 100 West near Toyota due to a crash.

A semi-truck has jack knifed and fallen on its side. Four other cars are also involved.

The crash was reported to dispatch around 8:30 p.m.

The accident was reported to dispatch about 8:30 this evening.

There are reported injuries, but the extent of those injuries has not been released.

Deputies say Highway 41 will be closed for an undetermined amount of time while crews work this scene.

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – A portion of US Highway 41 is closed near Toyota due to an accident.

US 41 at County Road 100 West near Toyota will be shut down for an unknown amount of time.

The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says there’s an accident with injuries.

Few details have been released at this time.

Drivers should avoid the area, if possible.
