Spencer Co. Sheriff’s Office searching for potential suspect in attempted child abduction

The Spencer County Sheriff’s Office has shared a photo of this unnamed suspect on their Facebook page, saying, he is to be considered “dangerous.”

They say the man is a 5 feet six inches tall, weighs around 250 pounds, and has numerous tattoos.

The Sheriff’s Office says they believe him to be connected to the attempted child abduction, and asks the public to contact them at (812) 649-2286, if you have any information on his whereabouts.

Update (8:20 p.m.)

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Two people are now in custody after several law enforcement agencies were involved in a chase on both sides of the river.

The Daviess County sheriff’s office says they got a call of an attempted child abduction earlier this evening at a mobile home park.

A chase then involved officers from Daviess and Spencer counties and ended in Indiana.

Authorities have been searching an area just east of Highway 231 in Spencer County for another suspect, who ran from the scene.

Sheriff’s deputies from both counties and several other agencies have searched for several hours.

We’ll update information as it becomes available.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says two people are in custody and authorities are still searching for a third person.

The pursuit all started when the sheriff’s office received a call about an attempted child abduction.

The chase has ended and two people are in custody. But a third is still on the loose.

INDIANA (WEHT) – The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says two people are in custody following a chase that spanned two counties.

The chase began after the sheriff’s office received a call about an attempted child abduction in Daviess County.

That chase carried over into Spencer County, where the pursuit ended.

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in a chase expanding across the Ohio River.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says it started with an attempted child abduction call.

Deputies were called to a mobile home park for the reported incident.

Dispatch has not confirmed the location.

We’re told a chase started in Daviess County and stretched into Spencer County.

This still is an ongoing chase.
