USI offering free dental work to military veterans

Local News

(VANDERBURGH CO., Ind) USI Students in the USI dental clinic open their chairs to military veterans this week.

Twice a year, the clinic hosts Veterans Week and offers free services.

Organizers say this is an opportunity for students to learn how to interact with people from different walks of life.

It’s also a chance for veterans to get a service not offered to them through the v-a.

” A lot of the veterans like to share stories about things that they’ve gone through and the after effect of that,” said Kim Parsons, the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Chair at USI, “It’s a good learning experience for our students and just for them to get to know what it’s like in real life.

The clinic runs all week and is by appointment only.

To make an appointment, call 812-464-1706.
