Vanderburgh Co. Council Looking at Cuts

The Vanderburgh County Council is looking at making cuts as it begins crafting the 2017 budget.

The council heard from department heads and their proposed budgets on Tuesday.

Those hearings continue Wednesday.

Then, the council will begin to make its cuts.

Last year, the county council cut about $5 million from the overall budget and adopted a $50 million general fund budget.
