Vanderburgh Co. Sheriff’s deputies honored with Life Saver Award

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office is recognizing its some of its deputies.

During a ceremony, three deputies were honored with the Life Saver Award.

“We just got called to an individual who was not breathing. When we got there, we started doing chest compressions, doing some kind of CPR until AMR and Perry Township got there. Their advanced medical training was able to kind of bring them back, their pulse back, and we were able to get them to the hospital.”

The deputies who were honored are Deputy Brandon Rolley Deputy Clint Stanton and Deputy Neal Luecke.

There were also three new deputy sheriffs sworn in. They are Roman Weinzapfel, Chad Phillips, and Ryan Henehan.

Earlier this week, hundreds of people traveled to our nation’s Capital to watch as the names of the officers who were killed in 2018 were added to the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial.
