EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Vectren, a CenterPoint Energy company, provided 16 food pantries throughout southwestern Indiana with LED bulbs.
Food pantries in Evansville, Chandler, Boonville, Newburgh, Mt. Vernon, and New Harmony were given 4-packs of LED bulbs to distribute to patrons throughout the summer.
Through its energy efficiency program, Vectren provides more than 50,000 bulb to those who frequent community food pantries.
“By providing LED bulbs to the food pantries, we are helping low-income families take simple, effective steps to lowering their energy costs,” said Lynnae Wilson, chief business officer, Indiana electric. “Vectren is committed to assisting customers to conserve energy and save money.”
Vectren offers instant discounts on LED bulbs at area retailers such as Home Depot, Walmart, and Batteries + Bulbs.
