VHS holds annual Pet Pictures with Santa this weekend

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – With Halloween in our rearview mirror, many are starting to think about Christmas.

This includes people at the Vanderburgh Humane Society.

The organization is holding its annual Pet Pictures with Santa this weekend.

People are asked to bring their pets to Washington Square Mall where the pets will have their pictures taken with Santa that owners can use for Christmas cards.

“It’s our 34th year, so we’ve been doing this a long time. We are the original pet pictures with Santa It’s at Washington Square Mall today, tomorrow and Sunday. This is one of our bigger fund raisers for the VHS, definitely not the largest, but probably the cutest fundraiser that we do.”

The VHS expects Santa to take pictures with 400 pets during the event this weekend.
