City of Sebree under boil advisory

Local News

SEBREE, Ky (WEHT) — The city of Sebree is under a boil advisory until further notice.

City Manager Emery Thomas tells Eyewitness News the boil advisory is a result of Monday’s water main break near Sebree in Henderson County.

Thomas says as a result of that break, Henderson Water Utilities attempted to utilize an Emergency Bypass line, which has come apart.

When a boil advisory is issued, the Center for Disease Control recommends bringing water to a rolling boil, and then let to cool, before drinking or using it to cook.

We’ll keep you updated when the boil advisory has been lifted.
