Vigo County: Officials look to get casino question on November ballot

Local News

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WEHT) – The public vote on whether to allow an inland casino in the Terre Haute area could happen this fall.

The referendum is required by the gaming matters bill.

County officials hope to get the question on the November ballot.

One of the hurdles is that the November election is a municipal election.

Officials will have to accommodate county residents as well, meaning possibly adding more voting centers.

They hope to have a plan in place. No later than the end of June
