Vincennes musician dies following Knox Co. crash


KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT)- The Knox County Coroner’s Office identified 18-year-old Evan James Twitty of Vincennes, Indiana, as the victim of a crash on Highway 41 near Essex Road Friday night.

Authorities say the car Twitty was driving collided with a tractor-trailer, which then overturned off the roadway. The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Twitty was pronounced dead at the scene.

Twitty was also a local award-winning musician and was named the 2016 International Instrumentalist of the Year and was inducted into the International Thumbpickers Hall of Fame.
