VINCENNES, Ind. (WEHT) — According to the Vincennes Sun-Commercial’s Facebook, page, the city of Vincennes suffered ‘extensive’ damage during Wednesday night’s storm.

That’s according to the Mayor Joe Yochum.

The Facebook post says many trees suffered damage, and there are power lines down across the city.

The post goes on to say that many residents lost power during the storm.

Many homes and structures suffered severe damage, the post says, including the Vincennes Laundromat on Sixth Street and a church at 8th and Shelby.

Several residents and downtown businesses have reported damaged windows.

The post adds that the Knox County Emergency Management Agency has asked that everyone stay off the roads while clean-up and repairs are being taken care of.
