Visitor arrested at Branchville Correctional Facility

PERRY COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – A woman was arrested after authorities say she tried to smuggle drugs into the Branchville Correctional Facility in Perry County when visiting an offender.

Police say 47-year-old Lashea Taylor of Evansville was arrested and suspected suboxone was found.

She’s being charged with trafficking a controlled substance with an inmate, possession of a controlled substance, and dealing a schedule V controlled substance. Those charges are all felonies.
