Walmart sued for selling fake medicines

Local News

(CNN) — America’s largest retailer is being accused of faking out customers with alternative medicines.

The Center for Inquiry filed a lawsuit against Walmart.

The non-profit alleges Walmart created “confusion among customers between homeopathic and science-based medications.”

For instance — they claim Walmart sells homeopathic medications on the same aisle as medicines tested and approved by the FDA.

They also say the labels intentionally mislead customers into thinking the two drugs are comparable.

A Walmart spokesman responded to the lawsuit in a Forbes’ report.

In the report– he denies the non-profit’s claim saying– quote– “we look to our suppliers to provide products that meet all applicable laws, including labeling laws.”
