Just before 4 on Sunday afternoon, Warrick County Sheriff’s officers were dispatched to the scene of an accident that occurred on State Road 261, just north of Baker Road.

Authorities say a truck driven by Jeremy Rudolph, 27, failed to negotiate a curve, running off the road and striking a utility pole.

Rudolph, the only passenger in the truck, had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Boonville Fire Department.

He was transported to St. Mary’s by Warrick County EMS with life-threatening injuries.

Monday morning, the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital reported that Rudolph was in the Intensive Care Unit.

Vectren responded to the scene to restore power and repair the damaged utility pole.
