EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – On Wednesday, officials with the City of Evansville announced plans for a mixed-use development in the former Buehler’s IGA lot in the North Main Corridor.
Officials said they are looking to attract a grocer to the location because there is a need for a grocery store in the area.
The development will also feature residential units, officials said.
Depending on the needs of the grocer in terms of space, more commercial tenants could be in the space.
Officials said they believe this project will be a catalyst for other development and investment in the area.
The plans are for a four-story, mixed-use building.
All the commercial space would have its front on North Main St.
