Governor Holcomb announces first COVID-19 death in Indiana


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WEHT) – Governor Holcomb announced on Monday that the first Indiana resident has died after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

Holcomb announced earlier Monday the closure of all dine-in bars, nightclubs, and restaurants in the state. Take out and drive-thru options are available.

Indiana is also recommending all gatherings of 50 or more people be postponed, in accordance with recommendations from the CDC.

Additionally all Indiana hospitals are urged to postpone all elective procedures.

Indiana currently has 24 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
