HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Hopkins County officials announced Thursday that there are now 110 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county. There are 58 people in the county who have fully recovered.
Additionally, one more person has died, bringing the total to nine deaths in Hopkins County.
One long-term care facility has been an epicenter for COVID-19, with 24 residents and nine employees now infected. The Department of Public Health has organized a volunteer team of nurses and medical students to help the long term care facility.
Eight individuals who have fully recovered in the county have agreed to give plasma or blood.
Next week, Baptist Health Madisonville is expected to have faster, on-site testing.
