More than half of Hopkins County COVID-19 patients have fully recovered

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky, (WEHT) – Hopkins County officials announced one additional COVID-19 for a total of 212 confirmed cases in the county. The total number of deaths remains at 24.

Additionally, 17 more people have recovered bringing the total number of those fully recovered to 124 people.

Hopkins County will begin select outpatient surgical procedures today. All surgical and imaging patients will be required to be tested for COVID-19 prior to surgery.

Brad Long of Baptist Health also discussed the importance of mental health awareness, especially during this pandemic. He also discussed the anxiety and stress of the pandemic and reminded everyone that they are not alone. The month of May has been declared Mental Health month.
