Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker announces over 2,000 more COVID-19 cases

(WEHT) – Illinois Governor, J.B. Pritzker, announced that 2,341 more people tested positive for COVID-19. Illinois now reaches a statewide total of 63,840. Plus, there are an additional 44 deaths, which brings the total to 2,662.

Despite the additional deaths it’s the lowest amount death total since April 19 for Illinois.

Governor J.B. Pritzker discussed if people persistently gather in groups of 10, law enforcement could be used and jail time may be a possibility if people are persistent in larger gatherings of 10 or more people.
