Water crews check pipelines to determine the cause of sinkhole on Cass Ave

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Evansville Water and Sewer Utility crews have been out to check the pipelines along Cass Avenue.

The City Engineer says the crew made sure there were no leaks coming from the pipes.

Officials say once the cause of the sinkhole is determined, they can request funding from the City Council and Mayor’s Office to make repairs.

Once they receive those funds, it should take crews about a week to fix the hole.
