Water project closes section of Covert Avenue

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- People who drive on Covert Avenue in Evansville can expect a roadblock for the next couple of weeks.

The Evansville Water Department shut down the road at Rotherwood as part of the President’s Neighboorhood water main replacement project.

Work on the overall project started in 2019 but the work on Covert started last week and should last another two weeks. Crews are replacing 21,000 feet of water lines in the area.
