Weather Cuts Owensboro Air Show Attendance in Half

Local News

The weather put somewhat of a damper on attendance for this year’s Owensboro Air Show.

City Public Events Director Tim Ross says nearly 25,000 people attended the Saturday and Sunday air shows.

Last year’s show drew nearly 50,000 people.

Organizers cancelled events on Friday and delayed the start of Saturday’s performances by an hour and a half because of the weather.

This year’s show featured appearances by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.
