EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival adoptable pet, Sadie, has been adopted.

Sadie went home with a local family, who had previously adopted a dog from the Vanderburgh Humane Society.

According to VHS, they checked in on Sadie and she’s doing well. The family already had two other dogs.

The family was considering adopting her, but when they saw her featured in the media, they knew they had to get her before someone else did.

While Sadie’s family can’t make the parades on Saturday, a VHS volunteer will pick up Sadie and bring her to the Pet Parade and the Main Parade.

The Pet Parade is on Saturday, Oct. 12th and lineup begins at 8 a.m., judging at 9 a.m. and the parade is at 10 a.m.

More information about the parade can be found here.
