White flag events planned for Owensboro shelters

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – St. Benedict’s Homeless Shelter and the Daniel Pitino Shelter in Owensboro announced that there will be white flag events Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights from 7 p.m. – 8 a.m.

Dinner will be held at the Daniel Pitino Shelter at 501 Walnut St. at 5:30 p.m. If bed space is unavailable, St. Benedict’s will provide space.

People needing shelter can also show up on their own to St. Benedict’s any time after 7 p.m. and before 8 a.m.

For those without transportation, OTS will provide free bus transportation to either shelter between 4 and 6 p.m. on the white flag nights.
