‘Why Education Matters’ is topic of Oakland City University leadership event

OAKLAND CITY, Ind. (WEHT) — Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Jennifer McCormick Is scheduled to speak at The Oakland City University School of Education “Learn&Lead” educational leadership event on Thursday morning.

The event takes place from 9 – 11 at the Cornwell-Reed Auditorium, and Dr. McCormick’s topic will be “Why Education Matters.”

All tri-state school leaders and teacher candidates are welcome to attend.

Dr. McCormick is Indiana’s 44th Superintendent of Public Instruction, and a nationally-recognized educator and innovator.
