The mega millions bubble has burst.

At least one ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s record $1.6 Billion drawing.

The one winning ticket was sold in South Carolina.

Mega Millions officials announced early Wednesday, the South Carolina ticket is the only winner. The owner will have the choice of taking the entire jackpot in payouts over 30 years. They can also choose the one-time cash option, which is nearly $1 billion.

Mega Millions describes the jackpot as the largest lottery ever offered in the “worldwide lottery industry”.

The winning numbers: 28, 70, 5, 62, 65 — and the Mega-Ball number is 5.

Kentucky continued its streak of lottery luck Tuesday night.

According to Kentucky Lottery officials, a $1 Million ticket was sold in Louisville.

It’s the fourth $1 Million ticket sold in the Commonwealth in the last 17 days.

Last week, Ronnie Parker of Dawson Springs, matched the five white ball numbers but not the Mega Ball to win the game’s second prize from the October 16 drawing. Parker purchased the ticket at Wick’s Well Market and Deli in Madisonville.

In in addition to the $1 Million ticket sold in Louisville Tuesday, two $10,000 tickets were sold in Florence and Lexington.

If you don’t have a Jackpot ticket, you can still walk away with cash just for matching several numbers, so check your tickets carefully.

And, don’t forget about the Powerball — right now, that lottery has an estimated jackpot of $620 million, and a cash value of $354 Million.

That drawing takes place live Wednesday night, right after Eyewitness News at 9 on Local 7 WTVW.
