MARTIN COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – A woman has been airlifted to an Evansville hospital following an off-road vehicle accident in Martin County.

It happened on a private field near Bear Hill Rd. in Shoals on July 6th around 11 p.m.

Authorities say 22-year-old Tyler George, of Springville, was driving a Polaris Ranger when the vehicle rolled over and ejected 21-year-old Kaitlyn Pund.

Pund had serious injuries and was flown to Deaconess in Evansville.

Authorities say she was not wearing a seat belt when the incident happened.

The other two occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Indiana Conservation Officers recommend riders use their safety equipment when driving or riding an ORV.
