Woman arrested in connection with Evansville murder case

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Evansville Police say a couple arrested in Atlanta earlier this year in connection with a local murder case is also connected with that gun FBI agents recovered from Pigeon Creek.

Police say amber brewer is in the Henderson County Jail.

In February, police announced the arrests of brewer and her husband Justin Brewer in connection with the shooting death of Delvin Mitchell who was killed on Frisse Avenue in January.

Investigators say they matched ballistics at the crime scene to the gun that an fbi dive team found in pigeon creek.

Police said back in February that amber and Justin Brewer were arrested on federal weapons charges.

There was speculation that the gun found in the creek was tied to the Robert Doerr murder investigation.

This is still an open case.

Anyone with information about Delvin Mitchell’s murder should call EPD.
