EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A Newburgh woman called police after she said she found heroin in the pocket of a jacket she pucrchased from the Goodwill in Evansville.
The Evansville Police Department says the woman contacted the Newburgh Police Department on Monday after she said she bought the jacket at Goodwill in the 2200 block of S. Washington Ave. She told officers she found a small baggie in a pocket which contained narcotics.
Newburgh Police investigated and advised Evansville Police the narcotics are suspected to be heroin. The heroin weighed 2.41 grams.
Evansville Police went to Goodwill and spoke to management who confirmed the jacket was sold from there. Goodwill management said they had no idea who or where the jacket originated since all clothes are donated. No additional heroin had been located prior at Goodwill.
