DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A young child in Daviess County, Kentucky was flown to the hospital after being pulled from a pond.

Around 7:30 Friday night, Owensboro Daviess County Central Dispatch received a 911 call for a possible drowning from a home on North Chestnut Grove Road in the Lewisport area.

Emergency crews found several people performing CPR on a 2 year old male next to a pond.

The child was then taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital but was later flown to Norton Children’s Hospital Emergency Department in Louisville, Kentucky in critical condition, according to authories.

The investigation is ongoing, but authories say it appears that the boy was playing with another 2 year old in the yard when this happened.

Authorities tell us the parents began searching the property once they noticed the children missing.

The second 2 year old was located and had not gone into the pond.
