An Indiana Republican hoping to challenge Senator Joe Donnelly stops in Evansville on Friday part of the process of getting on the ballot.

Congressman Luke Messer dropped off ballot access signatures for his U.S. Senate run.

Candidates must submit 500 signatures of registered voters from each of Indiana’s nine Congressional districts to be eligible. Filing ends February 9.

Messer will face fellow Republican Congressman Todd Rokita in the May Primary.
