Lyft unveils monthly subscription service

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (CNN) – Would you pay a subscription fee for a ride share service?

Lyft hopes so.

The company unveiled a new membership service called “Lyft Pink”.

It costs $20 a month and for that you can get 15% off all rides.

The service also gives members free bike and scooter rentals, along with priority pickup at airports.

The company says “Lyft Pink” members will not pay lost and found fees if they leave something in a car.

Cancellation fees are advertised as “relaxed” for members – though it’s no clear by how much.

Users can sign up on the “Lyft Pink” waiting list now, but it doesn’t actually launch until later this year.
