An Evansville Towing Company employee is arrested after he allegedly admits to stealing from vehicles stored on the company’s lot.
Kevin Kaiser with Hamrick’s Towing is charged with two counts of theft from a vehicle.
Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Deptuies were looking into a string of recent thefts from the towing lot.
Detectives say they planted a wallet with cash inside a car headed for Hamrick’s. When they checked back a few days later the money was gone.
That’s when the investigation turned to Kaiser.
During an interview with deputies, he allegedly implicated himself in this case and another involving a stolen amplifier, which was later recovered from his home.
