Man Arrested After Police Find Drug in Play-Doh Container

News
An Evansville man faces drug-related charges after officers reportedly find a stash of marijuana in a Play-Doh container.

32-year-old Joseph Wortman was arrested on felony pot dealing charges.

Officers pulled Wortman over for running a stop sign on Sunday afternoon and reported smelling marijuana. Officers allegedly found marijuana in his pocket, in a baby food jar, a shoe box, a Walmart bag and a Play-Doh container.

All in all, officers allegedly found 135 grams of marijuana. That’s roughly a third of a pound.

“If you’re suspicious that there is something in there, you really have to look because as dedicated as we are to finding it, they are just as creative in hiding it. This is a good case of that,” said Sgt. Jason Cullum.

Wortman also has a prior drug-related conviction. He is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond.
