Man faces child porn charges after FBI search

WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – A Newburgh man is facing three counts of possession of sexually explicit material involving minors. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said it’s a connection to an FBI home search on January 23.

Eyewitness News learned 43-year-old Phillip Abell was arrested Thursday. We’re told items were taken from his home on Kingston Drive in Newburgh last month.

The Evansville Courier and Press said Abell was released with an order to surrender his passport and remain in the southern district of Indiana. He was told not to discuss the case.
