The man accused of driving drunk in a crash that killed a Boonville teenager last year has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Osiel Marroquin, 19, pleaded guilty to three drunk driving-related charges in July.

Deputies said Marroquin was nearly three times the legal limit when he veered into the opposite lanes – causing a head-on crash that killed 15-year-old Skylar Robinson-Williamson.

The Sheriff’s Office said his Blood Alcohol Content was .23.

Whitney Winstead, 20, was the driver of the car which Marroquin struck.

Megan Ripperdan, 18, was another passenger in that vehicle.
