Mayor Lloyd Winnecke makes the ‘State of the City’ address.
We’re there live at Tropicana Evansville, where the Rotary Club meeting is underway.
Winnecke appeared this morning on Local 7 Lifestyles to talk about his address.
He says it will focus on the progress the city has made during the last year.
Also he will discuss the downtown hotel project and the IU Medical School.
Winnecke says the city needs to deal with its infrastructure and continue to make upgrades.
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke states: “The state of our water and sewer utility we have a very aging infrastructure and again that’s not breaking news to anyone. It was built in 1900. We have a lot of work ahead of us.”
Winnecke says there will be a few surprises in his speech.
We’ll have a full report on the mayor’s ‘State of the City’ address coming up later today on Eyewitness News.
