Once again, union workers involved in the Allied Waste contract dispute failed to meet with company officials.
Sources told Eyewitness News that members of the Teamsters Local 215 would meet with Allied Waste this morning at the union headquarters, but no one showed up.
On May 8th, nearly 80 union employees were locked out after the company and Teamsters failed to reach an agreement over retirement benefits.
The dividing issue was a plan to dump the company’s pension plan and replace it with a 401K.
Allied Waste brought in additional workers, and according to the company, there has been no interruption in service since the lockout began.
