A grand jury is taking the case against 27-year-old Anthony Burrus. He’s accused of vandalism at Henderson Central Park.

He faces charges of criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident.

Police say Burrus damaged 160 crosses set up for Memorial Day. Each one represented a Henderson County resident who served our country.

20 of them were destroyed.

Burrus denies involvement.

A grand jury will convene August 2.

Depending on what happens, Burrus could be arraigned August 9.
