In less than 24 hours, Kentucky voters will be casting their ballots for the Democratic presidential primary, but there are also some state and local races to be determined.
This includes the 1st District Congressional seat being vacated by Ed Whitfield.
Republican candidate Mike Pape is campaigning through the district on a bus tour.
Early Monday, Pape was in Henderson at the GOP Headquarters on First St. to thank supporters and encourage voters to go to the polls.
“It’s absolutely vital that we go out and choose our leaders for this country because if we don’t choose wisely, we get what get. And if we’re upset with something the government’s done, but we haven’t voted, we really shouldn’t complain. So everybody needs to go vote tomorrow,” says Pape.
Congressman Whitfield, who has endorsed Pape, is retiring after more than 20 years in Congress.
