The man accused of murdering his neighbor in Muhlenberg County is arraigned Monday.
Rickie Jones, 59, is formally charged with the murder of Tony Faith in Belton, KY. Jones pleaded not guilty.
Friday night, Tony Faith’s wife told Kentucky State Police that her husband and their neighbor, Jones, were having a verbal fight before she went to bed.
According to KSP, when Faith’s wife woke up Saturday morning, she found her husband in their lawn dead.
Troopers had been searching for Jones since Saturday morning and he was finally located in a camping trailer in Rumsey, KY Sunday.
Jones’ sister, Peggy Eaves, says she believes he is innocent.
“[He] can be very intimidating with his loud voice but would go no distance for anyone that he loved and cared about. But when someone walks into your home and tries to steal your medication in the shape my brother’s in, you’ve got no choice but shove ‘em out the door, push ‘em, whatever you got to do with no limit.”
KSP has not released information yet on how Tony Faith died. The investigation is still ongoing.
“I just feel that right now he was already convicted from the beginning and a lot of information isn’t being shared to the public. It’s being left out that points to where he’s not guilty,” said Eaves, “That needs to be shared where everyone knows so an innocent man isn’t convicted of murder.”
We spoke to Faith’s wife, but she did not wish to comment.
