A Nebraska teen selling her American Girl dolls online learns a lesson on safety after an attack from a buyer

National News

OMAHA, Ne. (WEHT/CNN) – 17-year-old, Sophie Wetzel of Nebraska says she knows never to let people who are buying items from an online listing come to your home.

Sophie started collecting the American Girl dolls when she was in kindergarten, but now a senior in high school, she has outgrown them and decided to sell them.

She usually meets her buyers in a public place but thought it would be OK, this time, for the buyer to come to her home since it was a grandmother who wanted to buy one of the dolls she was selling on Facebook Marketplace.

After an intense confrontation, she is now regretting that decision.

Lesson learned for Sophie and her mother, Kristin Chronic.
